About Psu-coos-symposium	English (USA)
The purpose of the Coos County Symposium is to support the vital work of many organizations serving the region. We seek a mutually-supportive environment to share information about on-going efforts, maximize collaboration, and generally find ways to meet the needs of Coos County. At the first major meeting of the CCS at the BALSAMS in May 2007, Jane Topolsky led the group through various activities to identify key priorities for a vital Coos future including: broadband service, economic opportunity, regional marketing & cooperation, energy, sustainable forestry, youth retention & recruitment, transportation, and education. We discussed these issues further at our last quarterly meeting in Lancaster. As CCS moves forward, we will seek to support those organizations and agencies that are working in these areas.
